Hi,
Thanks Vish for the +2 ! So, I am continuing on landing a Tempest patch that effectively test shelve/unshelve. Now the unshelve works great but when the instance is unshelved a property of the instance is not set set back. I get this stacktrace http://logs.openstack.org/65/96165/1/check/check-grenade-dsvm-partial-ncpu-icehouse/2ac603c/logs/new/screen-n-api.txt.gz#_2014-06-04_12_57_04_476 I have been able to track this, and the fix was already proposed in Nova/havana.

So if some of you could review and eventually approve the backport here : https://review.openstack.org/#/c/72521/ and https://review.openstack.org/#/c/77734/ I think I will then be able to merge my new test in tempest !

Thanks a lot, and sorry to bother you if this list is not the right place.

Jordan

This is a really nasty bug. +2/+a from me.

A bug was filled here https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1257594 and a patch was merged in Icehouse. I'd like to write a Tempest test to prevent this bug from happening again but in order to do this, I need the patch to be backported in stable/havana. A backport was proposed here : https://review.openstack.org/81214 It needs one more +2. Maybe you could help :)
