i run metadata-api on the compute nodes

Start with this:

openstack-config --set /etc/nova/nova.conf DEFAULT metadata_listen 0.0.0.0
openstack-config --set /etc/nova/nova.conf DEFAULT metadata_manager
nova.api.manager.MetadataManager
openstack-config --set /etc/nova/nova.conf DEFAULT metadata_listen_port 8775
openstack-config --set /etc/nova/nova.conf DEFAULT metadata_host
172.19.136.10

make sure 8775 is open

start by listening at 0.0.0.0

thanks, jacob
