[Openstack-operators] Dashboard for StackOps

Mmm... I guess you are using the distro for the wrong thing. You should better try the Ubuntu packaging on Ubuntu directly. The distro does not support directly access to public repositories, and will not support.

Once you master an Openstack deployment with Ubuntu you can help the guys developing the Openstack dashboard to implement some of the missing features and package it in such a way it can be published in a public repository for the community to enjoy it.

Apart from helping you to sell it to your clients, it will help us to sell it to our customers too ;-)

Just because you bundle doesn't make it a required use-case. Why not give users the option? Do you have any install instructions? When I follow OpenStack's instructions I immediately run into issues on StackOps, bzr missing, git missing, a bunch of debug messages at manage.py syncdb without prompting for username/password, etc. When I try to sell StackOps to a customer they want to see a GUI, not the CLI.

As a collateral now the dashboard cannot manage Security Groups, so from my perspective the dashboard is not fully functional now. This is the reason why we don't bundle it in our distro. Keep in mind that one of the goals of the distro is to bundle stable versions of the different components, we try to avoid development releases.
