One of the things we learned after putting out this notice is that we
have a lot of demands on our time this cycle. After looking at all the
events we expected to attend, we anticipate being fairly busy, so we sat
down and worked out whether we could achieve our goals without adding
another event to the calendar. We think that the existing conferences
and meetups that we're planning to attend will serve to put us in
contact with people in the first two groups I mentioned.

For instance, several infra-core people plan on attending linux.conf.au
where we'll have an opportunity to work on some long-running projects
and meet with people who want to get involved. Also, there may be
meetups for the tripleo and storyboard projects; as they have
significant overlap in interest with infra, we'll try to have some
representation there.

These events may not serve the needs of people who are running
downstream CI systems and want to collaborate more -- an important and
growing group. So we're planning on structuring some time at the design
summit specifically for this. Our idea is to try to have a breakout
session on the first day of the summit to present a comprehensive
overview, which should help make design sessions, unconference time, and
other unstructured interactions more useful.

Thanks for the feedback, and we'll try to keep this list updated with
opportunities to meet in person, or otherwise outside of
#openstack-infra.
