Hi Sean,
> I am very interested in how the planning on the Tokyo Upstream Training is going.
We've just started our 3rd Tokyo Upstream Training event.
On the next week, 3rd-4th Feb. , we have our annual event names OpenStack Days Tokyo.
http://openstackdays.com/index_e.html
In this event , we are planing to do the Tokyo Upstream Training again.
On this time, we got 25 participants and 1st and 2nd time participants will be helping as the mentor.
We’ve already announced the participants to prepare the training.
The upstream training itself is deeply rooted in the Japanese community.
But to increase contribution , we still need some support to the members of participant after a training.
Takashi Torii from NEC, he is contributing a lot for this great success of Tokyo Upstream Training.
Thanks Torii-san. ;)
Regards,
Akihiro

The survey results are mixed so far, but I feel strongly we are moving in the right direction.http://www.meetup.com/openstack/photos/25865986/ I got a lot of very positive reviews in person. I will be running the next sessions using our camera and mics with google on-air, so the video will get uploaded to youtube directly.
