Open Stack

In attendance:

Kilo progress:

  *   Ubuntu: Matt got all the basics installed, added config changes, but cannot launch an instance; there's a bug in the nova package. Source works fine, so probably an Ubuntu problem. Some changes came from a blog post about the install changes.
  *   Bernd: Started on CentOS/RHEL - last 2 weeks busy with other things, hitting problems related to very early packages, trying to install keystone, seeing a dependency not found anywhere else.
  *   Pranav: OpenSUSE and SLES - verifying updates to system D, checking how to migrate to OpenSUSE 13.2, most packaging is done. Same packages are compatible across versions. Kilo version link: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Cloud:OpenStack:Master (Will be released after the official Kilo release.)

ACTION: Matt to send out info to docs list about viewing gates to view config files that he's documented.

REQUEST: Might be nice to have a "secret" place where writers can view what's been gated into trunk (which of course is no longer published), which would make it easier for people to view the work in progress.

REQUEST: Testing needed for the Ubuntu work that Matt has done so far.

Publication of install guide currently planned for a few weeks after Kilo release, after the official packages have gone out.
