Thank you I'm using *Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS Precise. * I'm also testing this instruction on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS but it doesn't always work . I don't know the why but my advice is substituting* sudo service networking restar*t for* sudo /etc/init.d/networking. *I don't know if it is a right advice but the last always works. 2013/10/23 Razique Mahroua <razique.mahroua at gmail.com> > Hi, > which OS are you using? > and are you root when you run the service networking restart? > > On Oct 23, 2013, at 3:19, Angelo Matarazzo <matarazzoangelo at gmail.com> > wrote: > > Hi all, > Following this link > > http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/basics-networking.html > > the instruction service networking restart doesn't work on my machine. > > The network configuration options don't make changes. > > I used sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart > > and it works.
