Sorry, I keep failing to get around to tackle some of these. I am a bit flooded with work the last few months :(

I can answer any questions / help get a XenAPI setup going, if that helps get things done sooner?

If you have a virtualization enabled machine, running a 64bit OS, virtual box (or similar) should let you run XenServer. It's a free download to get the ISO, and DevStack should do the rest.
