[Openstack-docs] Compute admin guid broken?

I noticed the lack of a friendly error message too today working on another doc. I'll look into it. I also need to look into profiling cover text.

Typically I open the bk file in Oxygen and look for red bars on the side, which indicates non validating files are included. In this case I worked backward from what had been merged in the compute admin bk file and opened that chapter file and clicked on all the red marks until I found the missing XML:ids.

Back in 1.2.n or so, you got a nice error in the build when IDs were missing. Maybe David Cramer can investigate further?

How did you ever debug this?

Also, is it possible to configure the maven tasks to generate a more meaningful error message when the ids are missing from sections? That's a tough one to spot.

Take care,

Ok, I've submitted two patchsets that should fix the problem with
missing xml:id on all sections (the new MooseFS sections were missing
some IDs.)

master: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/11690/

As always, be sure the guide builds for you locally when doing a
review. I know it's tough to know which errors are real, though. So I
do want to make sure you all know that we are working on getting rid
of the mostly meaningless "Failed to load image:" errors by updating
the tool to check for figures correctly. That could be in the next
release of the clouddocs-maven plugin. We are at 1.4.0 now, possibly
the image improvements could be in a new release as soon as 3 weeks
from now.

Thanks,
Anne

Is anybody able to build the compute admin guide on their local machines?
Tom hit a problem in master
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-manuals/+bug/1038546>, and I think
there are additional problems, because I can't build stable/essex either
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-manuals/+bug/1039305>.

Is Jenkins able to build the latest commits?

Take care,
