We are following the link:<br><a aria-label="Link https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/16.0/html/bare_metal_provisioning/sect-deploy#sect-example-templates" title="https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/16.0/html/bare_metal_provisioning/sect-deploy#sect-example-templates" href="https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/16.0/html/bare_metal_provisioning/sect-deploy#sect-example-templates" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" class="gmail-fui-Link gmail-___1idfs5o gmail-f3rmtva gmail-f1ewtqcl gmail-fyind8e gmail-f1k6fduh gmail-f1w7gpdv gmail-fk6fouc gmail-fjoy568 gmail-figsok6 gmail-f1hu3pq6 gmail-f11qmguv gmail-f19f4twv gmail-f1tyq0we gmail-f1g0x7ka gmail-fhxju0i gmail-f1qch9an gmail-f1cnd47f gmail-fqv5qza gmail-f1vmzxwi gmail-f1o700av gmail-f13mvf36 gmail-f1cmlufx gmail-f9n3di6 gmail-f1ids18y gmail-f1tx3yz7 gmail-f1deo86v gmail-f1eh06m1 gmail-f1iescvh gmail-ftqa4ok gmail-f2hkw1w gmail-fhgqx19 gmail-f1olyrje gmail-f1p93eir gmail-f1h8hb77 gmail-f1x7u7e9 gmail-f10aw75t gmail-fsle3fq gmail-f17ae5zn" style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/16.0/html/bare_metal_provisioning/sect-deploy#sect-example-templates</a></p><p> </p><p>As per our environment, we set the "ipv6_address_mode" to "dhcpv6-stateful" and tried undercloud deployment. It was successful.</p><p> </p><p>But when we try node introspection, openstack is not providing an IP that will be used for PXE booting the system. We have enabled PXE booting on the IPV6 network.<br>
On Dell machines, we get the following error:<br>
"PXE-E16: No offer received."</p><p>For your reference, the undercloud file which we used is attached.<br>
We also tried to find the communication happening on the br-ctlplane interface when the machine tries to boot over IPV6 PXE boot. I am attaching those tcpdump records as well. We are unable to find the MAC address of our machines.</p><p><b>Questions:</b><br>
1. Is it even possible to perform tripleO deployment with IPV6?<br>
2. Do we need to do some extra settings, so that our baremetal machines can be PXE booted?</p><p>Thanks and Regards</p></span></div>
