All,
I am working on getting a private Openstack cloud set up to support a project I am planning. I have the install complete and do not get any errors and I can connect to hosted VM’s but the VM’s cannot connect to the internet. I have checked OVS logs and it looks like packets are being dropped. I have 2 network nodes and 1 compute node. All are using centos 8. The nodes have 3 NIC’s; NIC 1 is for the internal network and has no connectivity outside of the Openstack cluster; NIC’s 2 & 3 have external & internet connectivity (behind another router/firewall). The br-int,br-ex,and br-tun exist on all nodes.
Here is where I think I see packets being dropped:
[root at compute01 ~]# docker exec openvswitch_vswitchd ovs-dpctl show -s
