Open Stack

Hi all,

I am new to this community, as I have only recently started using 
OpenStack in my research. I am working on designing an "intelligent" 
auto-scaling mechanism, based on resources consumption metrics 
forecasts, leveraging on Monasca for metrics ingestion and processing.

Digging into the Wiki/Documentation, I have stumbled upon the recently 
retired "monasca-analytics", that seems to cover pretty much (and way 
more of) what I had in mind to build on top of the monitoring component, 
to enable proactive auto-scaling decisions. I am very interested in 
knowing more about why such project has been abandoned and, more 
importantly, whether the effort has been redirected to another project 
that I am not aware of.

Could you point me to any resource that you consider useful to 
contribute on these topics?
