In Chinese Pinyin, there are not any words starting with i, u, or v. :-(

Regarding U, the pronunciation is /u:/ in English, but it has to use
together with w, like wu.
There are several alternatives.
1. use some words having the pronunciation /u:/, like Wu Zhen[1], a very
beautiful town close to Shanghai.
2. use some words starting with U, but not really Chinese, like
Urumqi, Ulanhot,
which are city names in China.
