Hi,

I very much share Zane's concerns. As a distribution package maintainer,
I will *not* re-add a ceilometer-api package.

What I don't understand is why you guys aren't taking over Gnocchi, or
attempt to use a better time series for Telemetry.

I also feel like you're trying to scratch your own itch with MongoDB and
Ceilometer API, rather than addressing the issues of the project for the
wider community, dismissing both what has been said the the previous
thread and what the previous maintainers are telling you (ie: that
Ceilometer-api + MongoDB is a very bad idea). Why not instead creating a
migration path from MongoDB to something more viable/reliable?
