Yes k2k should work on centos, there is nothing OS specific in the 
implementation. There is OpenStack documentation on setting up 
federation and k2k. If there are deficiencies in the doc it would be 
helpful to point them out so we can remedy that situation.

If you need more information on setting up mod_auth_mellon you might 
want to check out the Mellon User Guide I recently wrote and contributed 
to upstream Mellon (it's not part of the OpenStack doc as it's more of a 
SAML SP setup guide, not an OpenStack federation guide)
