Hi team, 

for storage of our instances. We’re using GlusterFS stoarge and in compute node nova.conf we have $instance_path that point to GFS mountpoint.

Unfortunately for some specific instances we need to attach ephemeral storage which are files or block devices locally on compute nodes.

Can you give me some tips or point me where I could find in libs the function that create ephemeral storage and set it to static path (for example: /ephemeral_storage ).

I think this could be a useful option if we can decide where ephemeral storage to be stored.
