[openstack-dev] Unit Conversion in Administrator Guide

Hi all,

I have a docs bug for the admin-guide that concerns the conversion from Mbps to kilobytes per second (https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-manuals/+bug/1617450:

"1 Mbit/s would be 1,000,000 bits/s. 1 Gbit/s would be 1000 times 1 Mbit/s...

The example below sets network traffic bandwidth limits for existing flavor as follows:

    Outbound traffic:
        average: 256 Mbps (32768 kilobytes/second)..

is incorrect. Assuming that kilobytes here are the classic "CS" units of K == 1024, 32768 kilobytes per second would actually be 268435456 bits/s which in network units would be 268 Mbit/s (and a fraction)."

Is the conversion correct here?

I have started a review to make the change here - https://review.openstack.org/390726

Best regards,

-Joe R
