A tautology, for sure, and it certainly doesn’t require changing languages in order to evolve. All sorts of alternative approaches can bring about evolution.

Evolution is also not without pain; without such stress evolution simply doesn’t happen. The discussion is about one such pain point, and how to best address it so as to eliminate the pain with the minimal amount of impact on the community.
