Hi Melanie,

In short, you can work on images using Glance's v1 and v2 at the same
time and your images should be created, listed etc.

When you operate Glance with Nova and likely use Nova's Images API, you
will need to have Glance's v1 operated currently. There is a upgrade
plan (v1->v2) we are working on and is being planned for Mitaka. So,
currently you need Glance v1 to work with Nova.
