Hi Pavlo,
This feature spans three projects; Neutron, Nova, and Ironic. The code for
neutron modification was merged in Liberty, but,
because of the timeline/logistics, we missed the deadline to merge the Nova
and Ironic code in Liberty. Most of the patches are ready and the
functionality is being tested very actively.
We are looking at merging all of this in early part of Mitaka (M1
hopefully).
This feature will be available on all Arista Switches and some HP switches
as well. Arista's ML2 driver will work for both virtual and baremetal
deployments - hence, no special configuration or setup requirements.
If you are looking for Arista HW to test this feature, please ping me
directly (IRC: Sukhdev, sukhdev at arista.com), I can put you in touch with
right folks who can provide the HW.
Additionally, We have an early version of Ironic documentation. I will have
Neutron side documentation ready real soon, which will help with the
deployment setup.
Lots of information is available in the links provided by Jim. We meet
every week Monday at 9AM on #openstack-meeting-4. Feel free to stop by with
any specific questions. Team would be happy to help answer any questions.
Hope this helps.
