Open Stack

Hello OpenStackers, hello TC,

Haikel and I have just submitted an update to the change to the governance
repo to add RPM packaging to the OpenStack projects:

As a start there we'd like to do a dual PTL from Red Hat (Haikel) and SUSE
(myself) and we'd like to hold a formal election for the next cycle.

Our Mission is that by the end of the liberty cycle we have common rpm
packaging at least for all OpenStack deps, hopefully also for the OpenStack
services as well.

So far, we've formed an IRC channel, created a launchpad project and team
and created a wiki page (pretty rough, will be improved over the next days):

We're also doing roughly bi-weekly open irc meetings and hang out on
#openstack-rpm-packaging and have discussed and decided already on most
steps for achieving an integration point and prepared some tooling steps
for merging, so now it would be a good next step to have the git/gerrit and
project infrastructure set up.
