Hi Ian,
Sorry to see you go on hiatus from these duties. I am glad to see you on
channels every now and then however, I do miss having your invaluable
input on all the important stuff. I do hope that you are considering
returning back sooner than later and that these projects have motivated
you for the same.
While I truly support your decisions and choices that you have made
regarding your status here, on the other hand I am truly sorry that this
sort of thing has happened. I think we as a community should be able to
come up with ways that support disjoint efforts, asynchronous
conversations and delegating relaxed efforts to those who are getting
less time upstream. Also, I hope that companies would find it in their
better interest to let great developers work more upstream.
