Hi folks,
You may have noticed a new job in the check queue for Horizon patches,
gate-horizon-dsvm-integration. This job runs the integration tests suite
from our repository. [1]
The job is marked as non-voting but *it is meant to pass.* The plan is
to leave it that way for a couple of weeks to make sure that it is
stable. After that it will become a voting job.
What to do if the job fails
---------------------------
If you notice a failure, please look at the logs and make sure that it
wasn't caused by your patch. If it doesn't look related or if you're not
sure how to interpret the results, please ask on #openstack-horizon or
reply to this thread. We really want to avoid people getting used to the
job failing, getting annoyed at it and/or blindly rechecking. If there
are any intermittent or strange issue we'll postpone making the job
voting, but we need to know about it so we can investigate and fix them.
How to help
-----------
If you'd like to help, you're very welcome to do so either by reviewing
new tests [2] or writing more of them [3]. As with everywhere else, all
help is very welcome and review attention is particularly appreciated!
I'm really looking forward to having the integration tests be part of
the main voting gate and for us improve the coverage. I'd really like to
thank in particular Daniel Korn and Tomáš Nováčik for their huge efforts
on these tests over the past year.
Thanks,
Julie
