[openstack-dev] [depfreeze] Dependency freeze coming up (EOD Tuesday March 25)

Hi everyone,

As we get closer to tagging the first Icehouse release candidates, we'll
be freezing dependencies on Tuesday, March 25 after the 21:00 UTC
release meeting. The rationale behind this freeze is to facilitate the
work of packagers (especially distribution packagers) so that they can
be ready soon after our own release date.

Here is the process we'll follow. When DepFreeze hits, the
openstack/requirements core reviewers will temporarily stop accepting
changes to the master branch of the repository. Exceptions will of
course be considered: if you think your change is valid and necessary
for a successful release, please post a thread on openstack-dev to
motivate it ([depfreeze] is a good subject prefix to reuse).

This master freeze will last until all the integrated projects
milestone-proposed branches are cut (i.e. when all the RC1s will have
been tagged). At that point we'll create a milestone-proposed branch for
openstack/requirements itself and unfreeze the master branch for Juno
improvements.

Thanks,
