[openstack-dev] boot server with attached network

Hi all,

I'm working on a bug to fix the documentation for POST /servers.

Apparently, you can attach one or more networks to a server when you initially boot it, but the "networks" element and associated attributes are not documented here: http://api.openstack.org/api-ref-compute.html

Anyway, I have a review out - https://review.openstack.org/#/c/77229/ - and I have several questions:

  1. It's not clear to me whether fixed_ip is a valid parameter. If it is, what exactly does it do?
  2. I understand that "uuid" is valid with a nova-network only, while "port" is valid for a neutron network/port. Is that correct?
  3. uuid and port are mutually exclusive, but one or the other is required – is that right?
  4. Any other details I should know about?

Can anyone look at this review and comment on these items?

thanks,

Diane
