I think this is addressed in the CLA-FAQ, and it's not a requirement to
match with Git:

"be aware that the "Preferred Email" you set in
Gerrit<https://review.openstack.org/#/settings/contact> needs
to match (at least temporarily) the "Primary Email Address" in yourFoundation
