So I'm a bit reluctant on this one... It seems to still need some
significant review work (and i don't want to distract Nova core team and
prevent them to focus on bugs), it introduces new parameters and
therefore impacts documentation, and the feature will see limited
testing due to its late landing.

I'm happy to be overruled by Russell if he thinks this can make it in
the next few days, but personally I doubt that.

The exception game always seems quite unfair to the people who get
caught on the wrong side of this artificial fence... but the line has to
be drawn somewhere so that we can focus on bugfixing as soon as
possible. Nova's H3 timeframe has seen so many features added that I'm
quite concerned about our ability to close the most obvious bugs in all
of them in time for our final release next month.
