[openstack-dev] [Nova] Dose Nova support XenServer HA which is available with XenServer Advanced edition?

Hi,

OpenStack doesn't currently take advantage of XenServer's High Availability features I'm afraid - and running them in an OpenStack environment is likely to cause issues as XenServer will not OpenStack's view of the VMs and where they are running.

We hope to increase the number of XenServer features exposed to OpenStack in the near future, and HA may be one of the features that we'd expose.

Thanks,

Bob

Subject: [openstack-dev] [Nova] Dose Nova support XenServer HA which is available with XenServer Advanced edition?

When using XenServer Advanced edition, If high availability (HA) is enabled on the resource pool, VMs will automatically be moved if their host fails.

Does Nova support this feature with XenServer Advanced edition as the vitualization platform? If the answer is yes, is there any agent(or machanism) to handle the consistency of datas in DB and datas from driver?

Any hints are appreciated.
