[openstack-dev] Node resize for multiple disks

Hello List,

I have a question regarding how OpenStack handles the resize function.
>From what I gather, the resize function just "captures" the node's disks as
image files, and then deploys those images onto new hardware (one with
possible more CPU, memory, etc.). How does the resize function handle a
node with multiple disks? If a node has /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, and /dev/sdc,
there would be multiple image files, one for each disk. Upon "deployment"
of those disks, how does OpenStack determine which order it gets deployed
in? Is there some form of meatadata file kept to say that sda has to be
deployed first, then sdb, and then sdc?

Thank you,
Thang Pham
