Open Stack

Seems reasonable. Personally I'd like to see some mechanism to get a catalog of all registered Counters/Meters with their associated units. I'm not sure if simply having this in the API is sufficient since we could get different groups duplicating efforts.Perhaps a wiki page of all defined metrics and units, kind of like the way the notifications are documented?

As promised a few weeks ago, I finally got around to write a first
draft of a wiki page trying to normalize the use of units in
Ceilometer:

I guess now would be a good time to propose updates, modifications or
additions, as I plan to offer for approval at the next meeting on
Thursday.
