Hi, Currently in openstack, the ephemeral disk is not migrated on resize. This has the potential for data loss. We can change the migrations to include the ephemeral disks by default. We can have a restriction on migrating large instances by the total disk size (root+ephemeral). We can also provide an option to exclude ephemeral disks during migrations if the user only cares about the root disk.
