+1  DefCore does not prevent using any of the code!  If the code solves problems for users then they will implement it.  The goal is to establish the minimum set for interop.  Personally, I hope that Refstack will show every project getting traction so we continue to expand the capabilities of OpenStack.

That’s a fair point. I understood the intent of the DefCore process to be to start small and slowly add to the set of capabilities for subsequent releases, and adding object storage capabilities and Swift designated sections seems to fit within that process.
