Hi Corne, Sorry for the confusion, it's my fault. i don't realised that the week changed with the new year. There were the Chinese new year holiday in the last two weeks, so we cancelled the irc meeting. Because of the 2019-nCov, we had told to stay at home, i don't know if i can go to work next week, if i can, we will have the irc meeting on 12th Febr. and if not, i will send a notification mail. [cinder] type-checking hackfest next week

At today's Cinder meeting, we decided to celebrate the Victoria release happening next Wednesday by cancelling the Cinder meeting we'd be having on that day, and instead using the time for a hackfest to review the patches Eric has posted for using mypy for type checking in the cinder code, and to add type annotations elsewhere in the code. [ops] ops meetups team meeting 2020-5-5

Hey all, The openstack ops meetups team has been fairly dormant recently for obvious reasons. However with the realisation that in-person meetups, conferences, summits etc are simply not coming back any time soon, we've started to regroup to discuss next steps. We are also seeing some requests for virtual meetups from some operators via the OpsMeetup twitter account. Thus we had a quick IRC meeting today, and also a trial run at an open source based video conference meeting using jitsi via an instance running on infra provided by Erik McCormick. This seems to be promising. We'll look into trialling some ops related events leveraging this. We also agreed to try and have an operators session during the upcoming virtual PTG (replacing the Vancouver event now cancelled). More info will be shared as and when we can. I hope you're all doing as well as can be expected. [Diversity] D&I WG Meeting Time and IRC vs Video Poll

Hi everyone, The Diversity and Inclusion WG is holding a poll to see if there would be interest in attending if it were on another day and time as well as if IRC vs Video would be preferred. We currently meet the first Monday of the month at 17:00 UTC. And hope to have a planning meeting as our first meeting of the year. Our first meeting of the new year is slated for January 3rd at 17:00 UTC and for IRC. We will take the poll results into consideration and may cancel the January meeting to allow folks to plan on attending in which case February's meeting would be the first of the year. Did you try to check what are the people the attended before and are not attending anymore? In the last weeks there was also the summit and few vacations in the Europe and in the US. Greetings fellow humans! As we have in years past, we are approaching the end of year holiday season where people begin to disappear to use time off, rest, and relax their brains. As such, we're cancelling[0] our December 21st, 28th, and January 4th weekly meetings. As in past years, contributors tend to remain connected to IRC, but expect people to be heads-down if they are working, so replies will be sporadic. This also means December 14th will be our last weekly meeting of 2020. In accordance with the prophecy of end of year time off, we'll be in auto-pilot of sorts during the weeks we do not meet. Contributors should feel free to update the review priorities section on the etherpad[1] and look to it for what is going on or what needs additional reviews/feedback. One bit of warning, CI breakages during this time of year are common. Single core approvals to fix CI issues are encouraged in this case.
