swift 2.37.2 (gazpacho)
by no-reply＠openstack.org 09 Jul '26

09 Jul '26

We enthusiastically announce the release of: swift 2.37.2 This release is part of the gazpacho release series. The source is available from: https://opendev.org/openstack/swift Download the package from: https://tarballs.openstack.org/swift/ Please report issues through: https://bugs.launchpad.net/swift/+bugs For more details, please see below. 2.37.2 ^^^^^^ Security Issues *************** * Block client-supplied container-update headers. Previously, these could be used to perform server-side request forgery (SSRF) attacks. Refer to CVE-2026-50221 for more information. * Restrict the types of data that may be sent between object servers and replicators. Previously, if an object server were compromised, it could use REPLICATE responses to attempt to compromise other nodes through their replicators. * Fixed an infinite loop when attempting to read from a truncated aws- chunked input. This could be used as a Denial-of-Service vector as the proxy-server process stopped handling other requests. Refer to CVE-2026-49017 for more information. Bug Fixes ********* * Prepare object versioning for a future release that may use more complex version IDs. We are stoked to announce the release of: bifrost 21.0.0 This release is part of the hibiscus release series. The source is available from: https://opendev.org/openstack/bifrost Download the package from: https://tarballs.openstack.org/bifrost/ Please report issues through: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bifrost/+bugs For more details, please see below. 21.0.0 ^^^^^^ Upgrade Notes * Ubuntu 22.04 "Jammy" is no longer a supported operating system for running Bifrost. Please use 24.04 "Noble" instead. * The default Ubuntu deployment image release is now Noble. If you rely on the upstream deploy image defaults with "upstream_deploy_image_distribution: ubuntu", update any explicit "upstream_deploy_image_release" overrides that were set to "jammy". * Drops support for Ironic Staging Drivers. They have not been maintained for a long time.
