backport https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1195139?
Hi Folks - i’d like to back port this but to havana (and even grizzly if possible). This blocks postgres support. Is this ok to do? Thanks https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1195139 Tracy
Hi, I think that it is very important to get that patch back ported and it is a worthy candidate for a back port exception. My concern is that this patch (http://github.com/openstack/nova/commit/e2efa57ab2fb03b92f80abbf612a257c2847...) needs the following patch to be back ported - https://github.com/openstack/nova/commit/a52259ea2dda742d528723d58f20b3b225f... Could you explain that, afaict it's not direct dependency, but rather additional feature actually using hypervisor version data? BTW, note that Xavier just proposed another exception https://review.openstack.org/72575 which seems related, it adds missing hypervisor_version argument. Cheers, Alan

Looks like a good backport candidate, please go ahead and propos the backport following backporting rules[1] Is waiting for 2013.2.3 ok, or you wanted also to raise it as exception request for 2013.2.2 ? Hint: it's rather later for exceptions :) Cheers, Alan [1] https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StableBranch
Thanks Alan - i’ll go ahead and do it. My guess is 2013.2.3 is fine - especially given it’s late for 2 ;-) On Feb 11, 2014, at 11:50 AM, Alan Pevec <apevec@gmail.com> wrote:

Ive just pushed the patch. But i had to take an additional change from nova/utils.py to make this work. Not sure how i should have handled it, but i just made the changes in the patch. Let me know (or review) if i should have done something else. https://review.openstack.org/72978 On Feb 11, 2014, at 11:50 AM, Alan Pevec <apevec@gmail.com> wrote:
