Proposing Morgan Fainberg for stable maintenance
tl;dr I consider it an oversight that Morgan is not already on the stable maintenance team. Morgan has a demonstrated interest in (and ability to contribute towards) maintaining backwards compatibility, security and stability. I'd certainly trust his votes on stable/* branches. I don't think I need to say much more! stable/icehouse reviews: https://review.openstack.org/#/q/reviewer:%22Morgan+Fainberg+%253Cmorgan.fai... stable/havana reviews: https://review.openstack.org/#/q/reviewer:%22Morgan+Fainberg+%253Cmorgan.fai... stable/grizzly reviews: https://review.openstack.org/#/q/reviewer:%22Morgan+Fainberg+%253Cmorgan.fai... -Dolph

Actually Morgan does not appear very high in the stable reviewers charts (3 reviews in last 6 months on icehouse, 6 reviews on havana, search for mdrnstm in [1]) which is why he wasn't proposed for stable-core until now. We generally do not consider adding candidates below 30 reviews combined over the last 6 months. Morgan is certainly the most prolific keystone stable backporter though, which definitely shows he has a lot of interest in the stable branches... he just doesn't do that many reviews. If he really is interested in doing more reviews, I guess we could add him and see how that goes. [1] http://paste.ubuntu.com/8078116/ -- Thierry Carrez (ttx)

I didn't mean that as any sort of finger pointing ^ I feel responsible for not pushing him towards stable-maintenance until now.

I take that to mean I need to spend a bit more time on stable/* reviews myself :)

Hi Thierry, I'm happy to spend a bit more time on stable/maint reviews if it will help out spreading the work around. (I'm jumping in here now to say I'm happy to volunteer). It doesn't hurt my feelings if you'd rather have me run through stable/maint and get some more reviews there first. In either case you should see some more stable reviews from me (I'm happy to contribute +1/-1 vs +2 on openstack in general if it helps out the project). Cheers, Morgan On Monday, August 18, 2014, Dolph Mathews <dolph.mathews@gmail.com> wrote:

OK, based on the feedback received I added you to stable-maint. Note that we'll review group member activity periodically to remove inactive members. Please make sure you understand the rules for Stable +2 described at: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StableBranch Welcome! -- Thierry Carrez (ttx)
Thank you very much! I’ll make sure to continue reviewing stable branch related patches.
