[all] Stable Havana 2013.2.4 preparation
Hi all, as planned[1] stable-maint team is going to prepare the final stable Havana release 2013.2.4, now that Juno-3 was released. Proposed release date is Sep 18, with the code freeze on stable/havana branches week before on Sep 11. Stable-maint members: please review open backports [2] taking into account the fact this is the final release. Potentially risky changes should be reviewed very closely since there won't be another release to fix possible regressions. Cheers, Alan [1] https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StableBranchRelease#Planned_stable.2Fhavana_... design summit notes: https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/StableIcehouse [2] https://review.openstack.org/#/q/status:open+AND+branch:stable/havana+AND+(p...

Code freeze didn't go that well, I've found bunch of reviews in various states today. I've just went through the list and approved/rebased what seemed worthy last-minute effort. Zuul queues are busy so it will take time to merge all approved patch so I won't be pushing release tags today. Please review the queue tonight for anything I might have missed and speak up here! Cheers, Alan

I'm planning to hold off pushing up the changes to rip out Havana-specific jobs until everything is tagged for the final point release and release announcements have been sent, but once 2013.2.4 is officially out the door I'll EOL-tag and delete the stable/havana branches as usual and then get to work pruning our infrastructure. Thanks for the heads up! -- Jeremy Stanley

Tags pushed but I'll hold sending announcement until Monday. Please keep stable/havana for few days after announcement just in case OMG-kind of regression is found. Cheers, Alan

Of course... I don't bother starting until there are release announcements for everything, and after that it generally takes me at least a week to get it taken care of anyway. -- Jeremy Stanley
