Hey, I figure I'd abuse our new mailing list even though we set it up for Jenkins notifications :) Gary has been doing a tonne of work identifying fixes to backport to Quantum's stable/folsom: https://review.openstack.org/#/q/branch:stable/folsom+owner:garyk,n,z I think he's showing good judgement about what constitutes a suitable fix for the stable branch. Any objections to adding him to stable-maint? Cheers, Mark.

Hi, Some great contributions for stable/folsom quantum. Does Gary have interest in other openstack components? Does Gary understand the relevant processes, and perhaps project specific nuances? Once these are satisfied, it's a +1 from me. :) Thanks. -- Kind Regards, Dave Walker <Dave.Walker@canonical.com> Engineering Manager, Ubuntu Server

Probably not so much, but nor do the PTLs on the stable-maint.
Does Gary understand the relevant processes,
Yes
and perhaps project specific nuances?
Certainly for Quantum and I'd don't expect him to approve stuff on other projects which he isn't comfortable with Gary has basically been doing the stable-maint work that many of the PTLs of other projects do, that's my thinking here. Cheers, Mark.

Not at all, big +1 ! I actually assumed he's already a member, hence I went ahead and approved first batch of his quantum folsom backports (stable policy says backport by member counts as one +2) but in this case it's really just formality, Gary is a stable guy at heart! Cheers, Alan

+1 ... IMO the more domain-expertise available to stable-maint, the better. Cheers, Eoghan
Yes, Gary is taking the lead as the maintainer of the stable branch in Quantum, so having him be part of the team is very valuable. Dan On Thu, Nov 1, 2012 at 9:03 AM, Eoghan Glynn <eglynn@redhat.com> wrote:

Hmm, I somehow forgot to pull the trigger on this ... I've added Gary to the team now. Welcome Gary and thanks for all your efforts! Cheers, Mark. On Thu, 2012-11-01 at 09:26 -0700, Dan Wendlandt wrote:
