FYI, these currently fail: http://logs.openstack.org/periodic/ironic-ui-propose-translation-update/3ff9... http://logs.openstack.org/periodic/sahara-dashboard-propose-translation-upda... Both cases mean a broken zh-CN translation. Can we tighten the zanata settings to avoid that people introduce such bugs? Or what can be done? Hello, I have filed the possible causes of errors into Launchpad : https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-i18n/+bug/1609474 Is it possible to add / enable some settings in Zanata, for example: 1) disable saving for only "Unexpected trailing newline (\n)" and "Missing variable:" warnings 2) customize how much warnings will be applied to Zanata (e.g., later change that users can save translation(s) even the warning is "Unexpected trailing newline (\n)".) 3) applying the customization (2) into different language teams (e.g., total 10 possible warnings, Korean team will use 3 warnings, and Japanese team will use 5 warnings, and so on.) Or sending a kind of error/warning status reports (daily or weekly) to translators will be also nice I think. Or how about sending an e-mail to language coordinator(s) if Jenkins job will be failed? With many thanks, /Ian Andreas Jaeger wrote on 8/3/2016 8:51 PM:

Yes, an admin can enable the existing settings.
1) disable saving for only "Unexpected trailing newline (\n)" and "Missing variable:" warnings
2) customize how much warnings will be applied to Zanata (e.g., later change that users can save translation(s) even the warning is "Unexpected trailing newline (\n)".) 3) applying the customization (2) into different language teams (e.g., total 10 possible warnings, Korean team will use 3 warnings, and Japanese team will use 5 warnings, and so on.)
The warnings/error setting is per project - not per language.

Or how about sending an e-mail to language coordinator(s) if Jenkins job will be failed?
That's not that easy to do - the job might fail for multiple reasons and it's not clear for which language, Andreas
With many thanks,
/Ian

Same failure pattern for zh_CN, this time on sahara-dashboard and ironic-ui: http://logs.openstack.org/periodic/sahara-dashboard-propose-translation-upda... http://logs.openstack.org/periodic/ironic-ui-propose-translation-update/d530... Could somebody reach out to the translators that break this?
