I18n team, OpenStack Project Team!
Hello, all I'm pleased to announce that I18n team is approved by TC to become a OpenStack Project Team. We are now under the authority of the OpenStack Technical Committee. In return, we could get some space and time to discuss our future development at the Design Summits. Our contributors could vote in the Technical Committee election. This is a great milestone after I18n team was created. Next, we need to figure out the criteria of our core members and active members, which might be different from dev team. We will initialize the core team, then grow the team and increase the contributions. Let's work together to make it a successful team. Best regards Ying Chun Guo (Daisy)
Congratulations Ying Chun! It's amazing to finally see this happen, and a fitting recognition of the efforts of the entire i18n team. Internationalisation, translation and localisation is an essential part of achieving the OpenStack mission. Well done! Regards, Tom On 03/06/15 18:06, Ying Chun Guo wrote:

There's hope that with the switch from Transifex to Zanata we'll be able to reliably track, quantify and report on translation activity. You'll need some other criteria in the interim, but longer term we might be able to provide a more automated determination of active contributors on your team (similar to how we automatically determine developer activity for Git repositories in our code review system today). -- Jeremy Stanley

Totally agree. I believe it is the big reason we have been exploring the switch to Zanata from Transifex. How to identify actual contributors is a big and (I believe) biggest topic since we are now one of the official projects :-) Akihiro

I cannot agree more, Jeremy and Akihiro. Collecting translators statistic data, showing them in a translation metrics in stackalytics. It's the top priority goal in Liberty release. @ Carlos from Zanata team will give us big support. Best regards Ying Chun Guo (Daisy) Akihiro Motoki <amotoki@gmail.com> wrote on 2015/06/03 23:30:30:
