I can coordinate that copying - but before I do, I'd like to see a plan.
Btw. copying the complete icehouse dir is wrong, I don't want to copy the Install Guide as you said as well. So, what should be copied exactly?
Moving to docs-archived just a single directory right now is the wrong way: It still breaks existing URLs, why not use /icehouse? Then, which other directories to copy over? How do you want to make these archived versions available - there's no /icehouse or /docs-archived index page. What are we doing about translations of the documents?
I would like to kindly ask doc team members to also consider archiving translated documents. IMHO, translated documents may have their values although the documents are EOL, since - Translation contributions for documents starts after the documents are released. - Due to a kind of nature for I18n team, some translated documents might not be released (e.g., one translated install-guide for Liberty - but no Mitaka nor Newton translated install-guide for the same language). Recently, one bug has been reported to openstack-i18n launchpad but I have just forwarded to openstack-manuals: https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-manuals/+bug/1659167 , since the actual tox run is accomplished in openstack-manuals repository. Would not we fix this issue since Liberty is EOL? Or we need to fix although it is EOL but for translated documents? Now I am a little bit inclined to fix the bug, but I am open to follow Doc team's opinion :) With many thanks, /Ian

The liberty branch is closed, we do not publish from it anymore. Hi Ian, I would also like to see translated documents archived ☺ Lana is currently working in a specification based on our conversation yesterday in our meeting. See the meeting minutes here: http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/meetings/docteam/2017/docteam.2017-01-26-21.0... Hello Alex! Thanks for good suggestion on archiving also translated documents, which is a nice idea! Also I agree to follow EOL policy for translated documents, as Andreas already set "Won't fix". I have just left a few comments currently what I think about of archiving translated documents on the patch link Alex shared :) With many thanks, /Ian Alexandra Settle wrote on 1/27/2017 6:40 PM:
