Hello I18n team, I'm happy to announce new Japanese coordinator Yuko Katabami san, who has been one of the most active Japanese translators for a few years. Also, for personal reasons, I don't have enough time to contribute OpenStack I18n team recently. Therefore, I think it is time to step down from I18n core member. I hope all you are doing well. Best Regards, KATO Tomoyuki

Hello Kato-san, I truly appreciate your lots of work as a I18n core and effort as a Japanese language coordinator over the past years. One great work from my remembrance is [1] - a great blueprint spec draft. I think lots of translated I18n guides [2] would not be possible without the spec and Kato-san's work on documentation translation was a good reference for I18n guide translation support. I first met him during Tokyo upstream training in 2015, and from that period, he was a great mentor to me. Frankly speaking, I asked Kato-san so a lot both online and even offline for I18n activities. During Pike PTG on last February, I met him almost every day morning in a breakfast restaurant (although we did not make any arrangement we were there!), having breakfast together, and he were so kind to share the details on I18n activities. Without such discussion, my activities in I18n team might not be possible. I really hope that Kato-san's life will be more happy and successful, and we will see again. And let's congratulate Yuko Katabami for becoming a new Japanese language coordinator! With many thanks, /Ian [1] https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openstack-i18n/+spec/i18n-contributor-guide [2] https://docs.openstack.org/i18n/ Yuko Katabami wrote on 11/27/2017 3:13 PM:

Alright, I think it's time to congratulate. Yuko, also a warm welcome from my side. I hope you are aware of the responsibility to lead one of our biggest team ;) I wish you with your team every success in future translations and a good cooperation. Kato, you were the man of the first hour for me. We met at the Summit in Tokyo and you gave the I18n team a face. Many thanks for all your work and hopefully you are not completely lost. I respect your decision and will remove your core status in I18n. I'm looking forward for a new proposal from the japanese team :) kind regards Frank (PTL I18n) Am 2017-11-27 07:13, schrieb Yuko Katabami:
