Pootle Demo: Tuesday 19 August at 0800 UTC
Hi everyone, We've finally pinned down a date and time for the Pootle Demonstration by Pootle contributor Dwayne Bailey! It will be on Tuesday, 19 August at 0800 UTC http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20140819T08 We'll probably coordinate in #openstack-translation, folks can ask questions there or join the video (we'll provide a link in channel when it's set up). The session will be recorded and available on YouTube following the session so that others can review it if they miss the live demo. In the meantime, I'll be working to schedule an upgrade of our demo Pootle instance at http://translate-dev.openstack.org/ so that we have the latest RC version installed for their upcoming 2.6.0 release to work with. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help coordinate this. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 http://www.princessleia.com

Quick update - Clark Boylan and I are working on this this today, so we will have the new version of Pootle up soon.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help coordinate this.
Dwayne has requested that we compile some questions over the next few days so he comes to the demonstration prepared. Are there specific features in translations workflow that you find particularly essential or required that you're uncertain about with Pootle? If so, please let me know so I can pass these along. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 http://www.princessleia.com

Just a quick reminder, this is coming up on the 19th at 0800 UTC, see the link above for time where you are. When we're ready to start, I'll create a Google Hangout and share the link to it in #openstack-translation where anyone can join in or just watch and interact via questions in #openstack-translation I haven't gotten any specific questions from anyone to pass along to Dwayne, so he'll be doing a pretty general walkthrough and answering questions unless anyone comes up with anything prior to that. Finally, we have the latest (2.6rc) version of Pootle installed on a new server, which you can create an account for here: http://23.253.231.198/ (no openid yet, so you will need to create a user account for testing). Thanks everyone. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 http://www.princessleia.com

Thanks to everyone who participated, and to Dwayne Bailey for presenting the walkthrough. The video is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwMMd_V6wLw Note that there are a few minutes in the beginning before he was able to join us, and then a 10 minute or so gap in the middle where we got disconnected, but it resumes again for the rest of the demo. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 http://www.princessleia.com
