Hello Andreas!
Thank you for mentioning oslo projects, since I did not recognize on last i18n contributors meetup.
The main rationale to remove translation jobs for *-logs-* is that when operators encounter unfamiliar situations (e.g., nova error, keystone auth. error, and so on), searching on the Internet based on log content would have more results than searching translated log messages.
Since most OpenStack operators deal with server projects rather frequently, removing translation *log* jobs
IMO also removing translation jobs for oslo *-logs-* would be a good idea if this rationale is relevant to oslo projects. Based on my brief investigation on logs for oslo projects, IMO removal of translation jobs also for oslo projects will be fine.
I agree.
How do other translators think about it?
IMHO it's exactly the same - content ending in log files. Here's the infra change to not generate the log files anymore and remove them: https://review.openstack.org/392930 Marked as WIP for a few days, Andreas
With many thanks,

Thanks for the summary and the good write up on the etherpad!
I noticed "server projects - translation jobs for -logs-* will be removed".
We have logs job in server projects and also in oslo projects (which are used by the server projects). Do you want to remove them everywhere - or are there projects where log files should be translated?
Andreas
