I'm using different IDs :)
And, I'm not always join IRC because of my business reason and equipments.
To coordinate my local language team, I'd like to use Gitter and local mailing list.

Just a though, in other community project, we used same ID all the place for easy keep track and other system integration i.e IRC Bot to record contribution, attendees.
But of course, its not mandatory, but you will lose the record.
