heat resume Vms and run from SNAPSHOT: I have a stack of VMs (nova servers). The commands i execute are the following: openstack stack create openstack stack suspend openstack stack snapshot create At this point stack_state is in status SNAPSHOT_COMPLETED and vms_state is in status SUSPENDED How can i resume stack, with VMs be active and in Running state, LAUNCING the SNAPSHOTTED image. I can't resume the stack, because the VMs are in SNAPSHOTTED state. How Heat deals with it? How can you resume a stack with status SNAPSHOT_COMPLETED and VMs suspended to vm_state = unning for all the VMs of the stack

Scenario: -DomainA (TenantA, TenantB) -TenantA(userA) -TenantB(userB) - A template which start OS:NOVA:SERVERS 1. Is it possible two run simultaneously the same openstack stack create command? 2. a. how can i specify that i want, in the first case, the VMs of the stack, beloging to TenantA and in the second case to TenantB b. for the OS::NOVA::SERVER as fas as i can see there is no such property to Distinguish project names c. I want to achieve something like this openstack stack create "mystack" for TenantA openstack stack create "mystack" for TenantB openstack server list for TenantA VM1 RUNNING VM2 RUNNING .... openstack server list for TenantB VM1 RUNNING VM2 RUNNING .... So THE SAME VMs for both Tenants! 3. In the end, how is multi-tenancy achieved? So far, I have achieved it, by having two different stack names, tenantA and tenantB correspondingly, which take as input the same template, with the same parameters.

Cloud providers need to manage complex infrastructures in a seamless fashion to support the highly dynamic and heterogeneous workloads and hosted applications customers deploy. Similarly, HPC environments have been increasingly adopting techniques that enable flexible management of vast computing and networking resources, close to marginal provisioning cost, which is unprecedented in the history of scientific and commercial computing. Various virtualization technologies contribute to the overall picture in different ways: machine virtualization, with its capability to enable consolidation of multiple underutilized servers with heterogeneous software and operating systems (OSes), and its capability to live-migrate a fully operating virtual machine (VM) with a very short downtime, enables novel and dynamic ways to manage physical servers; OS-level virtualization (i.e., containerization), with its capability to isolate multiple user-space environments and to allow for their coexistence within the same OS kernel, promises to provide many of the advantages of machine virtualization with high levels of responsiveness and performance; I/O Virtualization allows physical NICs/HBAs to take traffic from multiple VMs or containers; network virtualization, with its capability to create logical network overlays that are independent of the underlying physical topology and IP addressing, provides the fundamental ground on top of which evolved network services can be realized with an unprecedented level of dynamicity and flexibility; the increasingly adopted paradigm of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) promises to extend this flexibility to the control and data planes of network paths. The FedCSIS multi-conference consists of a significant number of recurring Events and it welcomes proposals for new Events until November 2, 2016. The Events can run over any span of time within the conference dates; from half-day to three days. The FedCSIS Events provide a platform for bringing together researchers, practitioners, and academia to present and discuss ideas, challenges, and potential solutions on established or emerging topics related to research and practice in computer science and information systems. The Events will be selected based on the scientific/technical interest and/or their relevance to practitioners in their topics, the clarity of the proposal in addressing the requested information, the innovativeness of the Event topics, and the fit with the FedCSIS multi-conference program. The FedCSIS 2016 - held in Gdańsk, Poland – attracted 512 papers, of which 130 were accepted as full papers (acceptance rate of approximately 25%). Some events accepted additionally short and position papers. FedCSIS 2014 full and short papers are being submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, while position papers are being published in a separate volume of the Annals of Computer Science and Information systems series (publication process will be completed by October 30, 2016). Publications As in previous years, FedCSIS preprints will be published on a USB memory stick given to FedCSIS participants. Only papers presented during the conference will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library (or will appear as position papers, published in a separate volume, which will not be submitted to the IEEE), and posted at the conference WWW site.
