[ops][victoria] DNS for Tenants
All; How do we provide DNS services to tenant networks? We're running Victoria, and have Designate installed and configured, but it doesn't seem to have a presence on the tenant networks. I assume if the instance can route to an IP on the network node then the installed Bind can be used. I'd rather not have to deal with this, however. I would like the DNS to operate in a relay fashion to our previously configured DNS servers, though I assume that standard Bind configuration for relay should take care of this. Thank you, Dominic L. There is a document in the neutron networking guide that discusses how to provide DNS resolution for instances that may help you: https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/victoria/admin/config-dns-res.html Michael On Thu, Mar 25, 2021 at 9:07 AM <DHilsbos@performair.com> wrote:

Michael; Thank you for the response. That tells me how to make the tenant instances aware of DNS servers. It also provides information on how to get the DHCP providers (dnsmasq) to act as a relay. How do I control where dnsmasq relays to? Would standard dnsmasq tutorials be sufficient for finding this? Thank you, Dominic L.
