[neutron][vpnaas][ovn] Pushing VPNaaS support through OVN
Hi all! One of the biggest show stoppers for us for OVN is VPNaaS but I think it’s time that we’d like to be involved in getting it over the line, I want to thank Bodo who has shown a lot of patience in getting the code necessary, and it seems that the code works for them in production as well. I’d like to ask if possible for folks to review these two outstanding changes: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-tempest-plugin/+/847007 https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-vpnaas/+/765353 I know Slawek had some concerns, so hoping that raising via the email list if Bodo can address those and over the next bit of time we can get this landed in, since it even has actual proper testing both in CI and with user feedback. Thanks! Mohammed

Thx for raising this up. I just added those patches to my review list but I don't think I will be able to do it this week. So probably next week I will look at them. -- Slawek Kaplonski Principal Software Engineer Red Hat
I wanted to test and review these patches as well, but this has not left a backlog yet. But wanted to say that we are also interested in this and will be able to help out, but only after summer. On Thu, Jul 20, 2023, 08:34 Slawek Kaplonski <skaplons@redhat.com> wrote:

Hi everyone 😊 I just wanted to know if it’s possible to make any more progress on this, unfortunately we have missed another release to get this in. Is it possible to get a bit of attention on this? Otherwise, if we know it’s working for some folks, should we just merge it right away? Hi Mohommed, What current issues are outstanding with this? Do you have any bug reports that I could look at? I’ve been working on implementing OVN to replace OVS on my stacks, would be good to see if there’s any issues I can expect. Thanks, Karl. Hi, It is on my todo list to check the last changes of it, and check it personally. Lajos Karl Kloppenborg <kkloppenborg@resetdata.com.au> ezt írta (időpont: 2023. okt. 4., Sze, 0:49):

Hi Karl, I think the main issue here is just reviews, we have the following patches that need to be merged in this order: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-tempest-plugin/+/847007 https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-vpnaas/+/765353 https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-tempest-plugin/+/889294 https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron-vpnaas/+/895651 We are so very close, but we need traction on neutron-tempest-plugin patch to start getting the chain moving. All, Is this patch going to support Zed release of deployment? Or 2023.1? On Wed, Dec 6, 2023 at 2:06 PM Mohammed Naser <mnaser@vexxhost.com> wrote:

Hi Satish, We've started efforts of trying to use this patch with it cherry-picked into Zed, we'll see how it goes from there. @Rico Lin<mailto:rlin@vexxhost.com> from our team has been leading that effort, perhaps if you have tried it as well it might be good.
