[cinder][backup] backup_max_operations configuration is not working

I have set cinder backup with these configurations backup_max_operations = 4 backup_workers = 4
When I create 20 backups simultaneously According to logs It still creating backups at the same time.

The expected result is creating 4 backups simultaneously Have anyone face this issue ? or Do I config a wrong configuration ?

Hi Pureewat,
Which version of OpenStack are you running? There could be a case where the code doesn't support these config options. This support was added in Victoria upstream.
Also have you configured the config options in the [DEFAULT] section? Can you confirm from the logs by restarting the cinder backup service and checking if the right value is assigned to the config options.

Hi,
If you start the service with debug enabled it will log the operational configuration values and you have to search for the parameter to see what the value is on the run.
If you haven't enabled debug you can trigger Guru Meditation Reports [1] and it will output the configuration in the logs as well.

I have set cinder backup with these configurations backup_max_operations = 4 backup_workers = 4
When I create 20 backups simultaneously According to logs It still creating backups at the same time.

The expected result is creating 4 backups simultaneously Have anyone face this issue ? or Do I config a wrong configuration ?
