[api=sig][i18n][infra][tc] Cleaning up more defunct mailing lists
A quick audit of the mailing lists we host at lists.openstack.org turned up the following 11 which have had no new posts for at least three years now: * openstack-api-consumers * openstack-de * openstack-el * openstack-i18n-fr * openstack-ir * openstack-personas * openstack-ru * openstack-sos * openstack-tw * openstack-vi * third-party-announce I'd like to clean them up by removing their list configurations, but leaving any public archives intact. Are there any objections? Should any of the above have future messages redirected to a different list (though since they haven't had any for years, that's probably unnecessary)? -- Jeremy Stanley
+1 though might want to resend with subject updated to be `api-sig` in case someone is watching for it. Mohammed On Thu, Feb 24, 2022 at 2:49 PM Jeremy Stanley <fungi@yuggoth.org> wrote:

Thanks, and yeah I spotted that immediately after I sent the message, but I've corrected it in my reply here in case there are still any active members of the API SIG around these days. -- Jeremy Stanley

+1, and we are dying those are merged in openstack-discuss ML right? If anyone using those ML can send email to openstack-discuss. -gmann

Sorry, that's what I was asking in the quoted paragraph. By default, any messages to those addresses would just be rejected. We can direct them to an active mailing list, though I'm not sure that's warranted since nobody seems to have sent anything to them for 3 years or more. -- Jeremy Stanley

I think you are right, as they have not been used for 3 years, nobody will use them in future or people aware of openstack-discuss ML. I agree on just letting them go. -gmann

+1. If those lists were not used for so long, I don't think they will be used in the future by anyone. -- Slawek Kaplonski Principal Software Engineer Red Hat

Yes, please, I had asked for -sos to be deleted years ago. FWIW, there were less than ten mails ever sent to that list, and they were all about non-openstack things that are long out of date. I'd say no point in keeping the archives, unless it's more work to handle differently from the others. --Dan

It's been a couple of months with no objections, so I've retired the above lists now. If there are other mailing lists at https://lists.openstack.org/ which you think may be due for retirement, please don't hesitate to let me know. -- Jeremy Stanley
